Formatta Server 7.0 is used to automate all e-form processing and update file systems and databases with structured XML or other formats in real-time or as a batch. The Server can connect to data sources and repositories by ADO, XML, CVS, and plain text.

Formatta Server gives life to your e-form solution. It provides full access to the form data, encryption and signatures including form locking/unlocking, connectivity to the data sources and repositories, and a powerful set of Internet protocols.

Formatta Server's robust API's allow you to automate every facet of form processing. It is available as a COM component to integrate it directly with the ASP pages or other scripting languages, as a C++ library on a multitude of platforms, including Win32, Solaris, and other UNIX variants, or as Java APIs, allowing easy integration with many servlet engines, application servers, and web portals such as BEA, IBM WebSphere, BroadVision, etc.

Formatta Signing Server

Using the remote messaging capability, Formatta Server allows multiple users to digitally sign forms using a a single certificate located on a remote server.

The cost of digital certificates has inhibited their widespread use. People are not willing to spend the time or money required to obtain and maintain a digital certificate, when a wet signature is free. Remote signing is an inexpensive and secure way to electronically sign a document.

Formatta Signing Server allows a user to sign a form by logging into a remote server using an individual's user name and password. Once logged-in to the remote server, the encrypted form, along with any attachments, is sent to the server. The server signs the form for the user by applying its digital certificate, timestamps the signature and sends the signed form back to the user.

Formatta Server also supports multiple remote signatures and the locking of diverse form fields. This capability is essential for forms that require oversight and internal control.

Formatta Remote Web Services Server

Formatta Remote Web Services Server allows a form opened in Formatta Filler to connect via the Internet with a remote server for access to Web services. In this way, the inherent capabilities of Formatta forms are further enhanced by tapping into the power of the Internet.

Forms enabled with remote Web services can provide a plethora of information and services to a user. Formatta Filler can be remotely connected with Formatta Sever, which in turn may be connected with local databases as well as the Internet. In this way, a form can have access to live information from a database or from a Web service on the Internet. The convenience and flexibility of the Internet is captured within the form without having to go outside.

For example, a travel form might provide a real-time list of available flights between two locations using an airline's Web reservation service and then allow the user to reserve a seat on a flight; all within the context of the travel form.

Formatta Dual Dimension Barcode Server

Formatta bridges paper and electronic processes and allows you to collect data from paper for the same cost as electronic forms. Because other solutions lack this hybrid processing option, originators have never had the ability to substantially reduce costs. Formatta solves this problem by offering Dual Dimensional barcode technology. This allows end-users to submit the same form electronically or on paper. This is especially useful when inked signatures are required.

With this hybrid option, the user completes the form on a computer, prints it out with a secure barcode, and sends it via the U.S. Mail. Though the form arrives on paper, the processing can still be done electronically. Any flatbed or handheld scanner can read the barcode, Formatta Server can decrypt the barcode, and the form’s contents are extracted into back office file systems or databases.

Formatta Imaging Server

Formatta Server integrates with COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk) systems so you can image forms electronically.

A legacy system or database can pre-populate and collate a set of forms just like a fulfillment center. As forms are automatically pre-filled, Formatta's Imaging Server can also create an image file and write it directly to your OSAR (optical storage and retrieval) -- whether or not the form is printed, emailed, or posted to a website.

What's more, as electronic forms are received, they can also automatically be indexed and imaged. Consequently, you not only have the form data extracted to your database, but a legally binding document stored in your OSAR system.

Formatta Print Server

Formatta Server also has a Print Server addition, to automate your fulfillment functions. Forms can be pre-populated from your database, collated and printed to a high-volume printer.

Print jobs can also be batched and forwarded to an outsourced contractor for fulfillment using their high-volume printers.
