Formatta Wins GSA Contract for E-forms Management

E-forms Software Will Dramatically Reduce Costs for both GSA and End Users

Fairfax, VA - February 21, 2007 - Formatta Corporation announced today that the General Services Administration has awarded Formatta a five year contract to provide software and services to enable Formatta as the forms standard for GSA’s internal forms program and the hundreds of government-wide interagency forms that GSA supports. 

Formatta will provide software for developing and supporting the creation, filling, signing, submission and integration of electronic forms into agency enterprise systems and solutions, as well as services to convert and upgrade existing forms. As part of its solutions, Formatta partnered with TechTeam Government Solutions to provide project management, independent audit services, and subject matter expertise support.
 
This contract is part of GSA’s initiative to deploy technology to reduce data collection time and costs to the benefit of the government, its employees and its customers. GSA’s best value acquisition sought an automated e-forms solution and software maintenance and support services over the full life cycle of the form - from creation of the form, entry into the system, completion of forms by users, signing, transmission back to the government, processing and forms obsolescence. For the government, Formatta’s solution will dramatically reduce the costs of forms design, forms management and data collection and integration. For internal and external end users involved in forms completion, the solution will dramatically reduce the time burden required.

• Formatta Filler is free software that runs on both PC and Mac clients and allows forms users to quickly and accurately complete forms by pre-populating the forms from multiple back-end databases and personal profiles, and enabling version management/upgrades, saving, electronic signing and routing for approvals.
• Formatta E-forms Server products automate the maintenance, distribution and receipt of forms. These products also provide for automated data integration to off-the-shelf and customized information systems. The simplicity and speed of data integration with back-end systems and databases is particularly unique.
• Embedded in Formatta’s products are two unique technologies:
  • The capability to represent the form and its contents in a 2D bar code, thus enabling rapid and accurate data integration without re-keying data in situations where a wet signature on a printed from is still required.
  • A remote digital signing capability that integrates quickly and easily with existing Active Directory or LDAP directories and  eliminates the need to obtain digital certificates for each end user while ensuring the security and privacy of sensitive information.
