Federal Sales Executive

Formatta Corporation currently has an opening for a Federal Sales Executive in our Fairfax, VA office. This position is responsible for selling our software solutions to assigned Federal Government Agencies. On February 19, 2008, Edison Venture Fund announced a $4.3 million investment for Formatta, headquartered in Fairfax. The proceeds will be used to expand sales, marketing, client support and product development. Formatta's products are targeted for information intensive market segments such as Federal, state and local governments. This is an excellent opportunity selling a highly profitable product and there is no earnings cap.

Due to the technical nature of our products, we are looking for an applicant with strong and proven sales experience in IT sales. Duties include sales calls and on-line demonstrations, follow-up of sales leads generated by our advertising and marketing programs, prospecting and cold calling.

Requirements:

• Five (5) years Federal sales experience in a consultative selling environment
• A proven performer selling software as a service
• Exceptionally organized with superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience cold calling, opening new clients and building relationships
• Strong in lead management, prospecting and negotiating/closing complex sales
• Creative thinker who can present compelling solutions for a variety of applications
• Goal-oriented, driven, energetic with a documented track record of hitting sales goals
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Outstanding web-based and in-person presentation skills
• Highly motivated, very organized, and a self-starter
